Nicknamed The Golden Bear by an Australian sportswriter in 1962, Jack Nicklaus is an American icon and world’s greatest golfer of all time.
Jack was dubbed a golf prodigy at age 10. From 1962 (age 22) to 1986 (age 46), Jack captured 18 major championships in a span of 25 years. 18 Majors remains the gold standard in professional golf, a record all other golfers continue to chase.
Jack and the Nicklaus Companies have also designed over 430 golf courses in 46 countries. Jack also continues to give back to the game that he redefined during his career and children’s health programs, including the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and the Play Yellow campaign with the PGA TOUR. With his wide scope of influence, Jack uses his voice to help the sport, connect to younger generations of golfers passionate about the transformative nature of the game and community.
In 2020, the Nicklaus Companies partnered with Soul Machines to expand its technology strategy and build Digital Jack: a digital replica of him to engage with fans and preserve his legacy today and into the metaverse of the future.
